The low shelf height is perfect for my toddler to grab her own books without help. The wood feels solid and it was simple to put together. Exactly what we needed.
My daughter can finally reach her own books without me lifting her, which was the whole point. The shelves are shallow enough that nothing gets buried behind other things, so her favorite stuffed rabbit stays visible. It's held up well to a toddler who climbs it more than she reads from it.
