The bright illustrations kept my baby engaged from asparagus to zucchini; I love that each vegetable has a fun fact to read aloud.
My 18-month-old now points at the asparagus page and yells "garden!" every time we get to it. The read-aloud rhythm is bouncy enough that I don't mind doing it three times in a row.
The board book pages are thick enough that my one-year-old can turn them himself without ripping anything. We've been reading it at lunchtime and he now points at the zucchini page every single time.
